Tehran, YJC. Hojat ol-Islam Rahimian has said that Imam Khomeini did not consider talks with the US.

In his speeches among Independent Students’ Association in Mashhad, Hojat ol-Islam Rahimian, the Supreme Leader’s Delegate to the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said that Imam Khomeini’s uprising was abhorred by both western and eastern blocs while until that time every uprising against the regime was bound to one or the other side. Imam Khomeini was not associated with any power except God.

"Imam Khomeini answer’s those who are inclined to the United States as ‘If there is anyone amongst you in whose imagination there’s some inclination towards the west or the east eliminate him from the surface of history.’ Negotiations with the United States is totally rejected by Imam Khomeini. Every now and then some relatives of Imam Khomeini say things in his name which are not true. They try to reduce Imam Khomeini to their level of understanding and apply him to their personal wishes. In Imam Khomeini’s eye no compromise is allowed.”

He further added "Finally I have to say that Imam Khomeini’s path will be continued and today with our experiences we can move on better. Surely the US and Israel are going down and Islam is rising.”
