Tehran, YJC. The Iranian Reform President has invited people to vote.

Mohammad Khatami said "I have always acted within the system’s framework and am always bound the Constitution. Elections are near and people must not spurn ballot boxes. All individuals must take part in the elections.”

The ex-President also said "As far as I know Mr. Hashemi has announced that he will run for presidency, but he has said that he needs the Supreme Leader’s favorable regards as well.”

"Personally, I disagree with those who are after subversion, and am bound to the country’s rules and the Constitution. Next President will bear a heavy load. If Seyyed Mohammad Khatami is their President, people will expect things to change overnight. But whether it is Khatami, Hashemi, or others, it will take some years for economic problems and international relations to return to the first spot,” he stated.
