TEHARN, YJC. Haji Deligani has said that it was Mehdi Hashemi’s residence in England that resulted in his father’s entry into the presidentials.

Hoseinali Haji Deligani, a member of the Boad of Directors of Majlis, provided comments on the reasons for Hashemi to run for presidency as "It seems that Mehdi Hashemi’s 3-year stay in England has had a series of outcomes, of which one is Hashemi Rafsanjani’s candidacy for the presidential elections.”

He asserted "Hashemi, though, does not have the necessary physical conditions to enter the elections. That is why he would announce his stances in the form of declarations and would not appear among reporters.”

Haji Deligani who is a member of the Principalist Fraction Board of Directors then pointed to a statement by 150 lawmakers in contempt of Hashemi’s speech about Israel and said "In contrast to Imam Khomeini’s tradition, Hashemi takes passive positions on Israel.”

He added that Hashemi intends to reintroduce a limited version of choices enjoyed by the Guardian Jurist.

He also stated that, by making evaluations of the country’s circumstances as difficult and at a dead end, Hashemi gladdens foreign arrogance media.

Haji Deligani asked for solidarity among the Principalist in the face of the Reform side.
