Tehran, YJC. Velayati appeared in his first TV program as presidential candidate to discuss his administrational programs.
Presidential candidate Ali Akbar Velayati said Sunday evening on the national TV "I was the Foreign Minister for 16 years. There were cases more difficult than the nuclear. With experts and devoted colleagues we managed to accomplish resolution 598 and the 1975 Algiers Agreement.”
Member of the Development Coalition asserted "The Six Powers is no more difficult than the 1975 Agreement. Iran’s nuclear case is resolvable. We can improve our international cooperation and reduce sanctions while we go on enriching uranium and preserve Iran’s rights in nuclear energy.”
He counted the return of the country’s currency from overseas as one of his main programs and said "Iran has tens of billions of dollars abroad. Approximately $3 billion is owed by China and the same amount by India and Japan for oil transactions, which we cannot take back for some problems, including sanctions.”
He believed that if the country takes its foreign relations out of its standstill the property could be taken back.
"When I was the Foreign Minister, FMs from other countries used to stand in line to visit Tehran. There were times at the UN when I would visit 80 of them. We used to have close relations with world leaders and powerful people from different countries.”
