TEHRAN, August 22 - Hamza Sayyid al-Shuhada' Base of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Force dismissed reports on Iran-Turkey joint operation against PKK militants beyond Iran’s borders.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “We have not planned for any operation beyond Islamic Republic of Iran’s borders, but we will seriously deal with any individual or team who intends to infiltrate into Iranian soil for counter-security or terrorist move,” the base public relations said.
This as Iran is also fighting a PKK offshoot in its northwestern border region with Turkey.
PJAK randomly carries out hit-and-run attacks on Iranian targets, after which they retreat to their lairs in Iraq and Turkey.
Turkey has previously built more than 550 kilometers of wall along the Syrian border in order to prevent the PKK and Daesh Takfiri terrorists from carrying out acts of terror.
