Tehran,YJC. Iran has won the Asian Weightlifting games with 9 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze medals.
This
year is the 6th year that the national Iranian weightlifting team
obtains Asia championship.
This
year the 44th round of the Asian Weightlifting Championships came to
a close with Jaber Behrouzi, Rasoul Taqian, Sohrab Moradi, gaining the
championship for 69, 77, and 85 kg categories, Yasin Baqeri snatching the
bronze in the 94 kg category, plus 2 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze prizes in the
105 and +105 categories for Iran.
This
is the first time in the 55 year history of the Asian Weightlifting
Championships that Iran gains the championship twice in a row.
