TEHRAN, November 1 - A collection of original drawings from the Tintin series is set to go under the hammer in the French capital.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The collection by Belgian cartoonist Herge includes a rare Chinese ink and watercolor drawing expected to fetch up to 932,000 dollars. It is the first time that the drawing has been put on the market after being kept by its owner since she was given it as a gift by Herge himself. Tintin’s adventures are believed to be more than a mere fictional narrative, offering a glimpse into the social and political context of the time. Created in 1929, the Tintin Adventures have been translated into more than 70 languages and sold more than 200 million copies worldwide.
