TEHRAN, December 1 - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif said that Europe has acted firmly in announcing its view on Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal with P5+1.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Zarif arrived in Baku on Friday for the conference of Heart of Asia. He also met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
“As I have stressed, Europeans and Mrs. Mogherini have taken good position and announced their position (about the nuclear deal) quite firmly. As to practical steps over past months, we have witnessed extensive moves by Europe on banking cooperation and finance,” he said.
He also said a European delegation has visited Iran for discussing cooperation in nuclear and agricultural fields. “We hope that the cooperation will continue.”
Zarif stressed confronting terrorism and said, “The policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is based on sovereignty of Afghan government and leadership of Afghan government for establishing peace, stability and progress in this country.”
As to the conference, he said, “The Heart of Asia conference is an effort for common interests and cooperation among regional countries for making security and economic development in Afghanistan.”
