TEHRAN, December 6 - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi blasted recent remarks of US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson against Tehran.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “Frequent announcement of unfounded and false allegations will not make up for US strategic and big mistakes on Iran and the region over last decades,” he said.
He continued that raising accusations against other countries would not heal deep and old wounds remained from aggressive policies and excessive demands of the US in the region.
Qassemi recommended Tillerson of trying to know more about regional realities and history as well as aftermaths of US policies which have led to murder of hundreds of thousands of innocent women and children before making any remarks and judgments.
He said that Iran has made considerable efforts in the frontline of battle against terrorism in the region and the world.
The Iranian official continued that the country would press ahead with its efforts to help stability and security and fight against terrorism under moral bases and internationally –accepted norms and without taking into account lies of ill-wishers of the region.
