Speaking in an interview with Iranian Diplomacy, the former Vice Chancellor of Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Shiekholeslam said "Now that all pro-Israel countries are gathered in Tunis to support the Syrian opposition and Saudi Arabia tried to leave the meeting [with an agreement] that the Syrian opposition must be armed and the situation must be directed to a civil war so that the atmosphere allows for international intervention, Hamas must not have taken the position it has.”
He added "See who is gathered around in Tunis? Mrs. Clinton, pro-Israel Foreign Ministers, heads of the Arab League, etc. It is clear that the meeting is not one of pro-resistance governments. This position by Hamas can imply that it stands by those who attend the meeting. That is wrong. That is not a correct position. That is not the position of those who oppose Israel. Hamas must stand by those who support the Palestinian issue and resistance.”
"We must make sure that this mistake by Hamas does not harm the resistance,” he asserted.
