Tehran, YJC. Clergy Lawmaker says that in case Jack Straw attends the Rouhani inauguration he will meet him with eggs or tomatoes.
Hojatoleslam Rouhollah Hosseinian says "the Iranian parliament is no place for Jack Straw; since he was one of the key figures in making Iran suspend uranium enrichment.”
The Tehran Representative in the Majlis in interview with Fars pointed to the political attitude of the former Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs toward Iran and said "Jack Straw is one of the founders of the imposition of enrichment suspension treaty. It does not make sense for him to attend the Majlis where the nation’s honorable representatives are present.”
"Lawmakers will no doubt disagree with the presence of such people in the Majlis and will not let them in,” he asserted.
He believed that Straw is someone who’s insulted the Iranian nation and added "Anyway, as I said, if he comes I will hit him with something, be it an egg or a tomato.”
Previously
it was said that with the President-elect’s invitation, the former UK Secretary
of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Jack Straw will visit Tehran to
attend the ceremony for Rouhani's swear-in on August 4.
