TEHRAN, January 8 - Former Italian Prime Minister Massimo D'Alema stressed preserving Iran’s nuclear deal with P5+1.

Speaking in Tehran’s second security conference on Monday, he said, “We will have cooperation with Iran in financial and investment fields.”

He said that regional security is one of the most important factors to preserve the nuclear deal.

He welcomed easing tension between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and called for formation of dialogue between the two sides even in religious issues.

D'Alema said that any effort to destabilize Iran is not in favor of the region and emphasized avoiding any interference in Iran’s domestic issues.

“The EU should boost its ties with Iran to obtain an active solution to deal with the Middle East challenges.”

He then referred to Syrian issues, saying that settlement of Syrian problems needs formation of transition era and non-governmental, opposition organizations and minorities should deal with problems of the country.

“The nuclear deal is a fundamental agreement to strengthen security and stability in the region and it should be strengthened.”
