OIC Scientific Competition Calls for Academics’ Participation

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - KANS (Knowledge Application and Notion for Society) is a scientific competition among scholars, university students, and professors (under 45 years of age) throughout the Islamic countries in which the participants present their ideas in the form of a video presentation.

The selected works in the fields of health, energy, environment, information and communication technology (ICT) and economy will be awarded, the secretariat of the Mustafa Prize, the OIC’s leading science and technology award, said in a statement on Monday.

This event is aimed at finding the best scientific solutions to spot and tackle the problems of the society while having accomplished the goals of using the character and capacities of the expert community, providing an accumulation of scientific works, raising the level of motivation and creativity in young elites, establishing a platform to identify and exchange scientific and technological ideas, and having researchers engaged in purposeful and sustainable interaction within Cyberspace.

Devising science-based strategies to address issues in human societies is one of the significant selection criteria. Those interested to take part in KANS competition can register through www.mustafaprize.org to submit their scientific works and achievements in form of a 3-to-5-minute video file.
