Tehran, YJC. Iraqi lawmaker has said that some prominent Ba’at leaders plan to agitate people against the government as elections draw on.
Iraqi lawmaker Qasim al-Araji in interview with Fars has claimed that some high-ranking Ba’ath commanders intend to influence the upcoming elections, adding "Sadoun Sakran al-Taee who was the director of the military office Qusay Saddam Hussain is making attempts to agitate people against the Iraqi government.”
Araji asserted "Investigations conducted to identify and follow the descendants of Saddam show that some prominent members of the party are engaged in criminal actions.”
"Individuals who have been identified thereby include Sa’doun Sokran al-Taee who lives in al-Ulm district in Tikrit, Saladin and is now the organizational manager of the disintegrated Ba’ath party in the province,” he added.
He further explained that someone called Abdullah is al-Taee’s second in command and helps him in organizational affairs.
Araji added that Abdullah has been Ezzat Ebrahim al-Dowri’s bodyguard and present in his speech in al-Sadah village in Saladin province.
He asserted "Another present commander of the disintegrated Ba’ath party is Sadoun Nad-al-Jubouri who is responsible for the organization of forces called the Iraqi Free Army in Saladin.”
Araji further said "Safi al-Bahr al-Ezawi was the director of one of the branches of Iraq Intelligence Organization at the time of Saddam who now lives in the al-Dubsa area in Saladin and along with the Iraqi lawyer Ahmad al-Mazi is in contact with two members of the Iraqi parliament.”
He added "Al-Mazi is the former director of Iraq's National Secretariat for Legal Department and is now the director of the Legal Office of Tikrit University.”
