Baku, YJC. -- Iran's Ambassador to Baku Mohsen Pakaein said here on Monday that countries which are committed to provide security in the world, especially the UN Security Council members should feel responsibility about consequences of a military move against Syria.
He expressed regret that a number of warmongering countries call themselves world community and take decision on behalf of the UN Security Council.

He added that talking about readiness for a military attack against Syria is contrary to international regulations and world community obligations concerning establishment of peace and security in the world.

Reminding attack against Iraq under the false pretext of confrontation with atomic arsenal and attack against Afghanistan with the false claim of fight against terrorism, the Iranian envoy said that as interference of the hegemonic powers caused insecurity in Iraq and Afghanistan, attack against Syria will endanger another part of the world.

He underlined that Syrian problem solution will be possible only through dialogue and without any outside interference, adding that international bodies and the world countries should prevent military intervention in Syria and do not allow western countries repeat their past mistakes.

Pakaein continued that time for imposing pressure to change legal regimes is over and underlined that using force is clear violation of the UN Charter.
He stressed that Syrian people should take decision about their fate without any interference of outside elements and the UN Security Council members should act upon their duty to prevent war.

Azerbaijan Republic is a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
