Tehran, YJC. Soleimani says that it is for the Iranian nation’s resistance that the world respects Rouhani.
"The
world’s respect for Iran’s president, the enemy’s humility and the things they
say owe to the resistance of the Iranian nation. Were it not for your sacrifice
and your presence, such a thing would not have happened in history,” said Major
General Qasem Soleimani in a meeting in Kerman.
"Western countries and some Arabian ones, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Kuwait provided the fund for war against Iran. They would support Saddam from all sides,” he further said.
Soleimani added "Their aid to Saddam amounted to 2.5 times what we spent in the war. But when the divine hand is there to protect an oppressed nation, things will turn the way they did in the war between Iran and Iraq.”
The Commander of the Quds Corps also provided comments on the US military budget and said "The US Army’s budget is $700 billion which is equal to eight years of Iran’s budget.”
"What gain did the US Army have with $700 billion in Afghanistan and Iraq? The army of the Zionist regime, which is the regime’s backbone and is known as the soldier-citizen system and has given the system whatever new technology there is, was defeated by the common, public organization of people in Lebanon in the 22-day, the 33-day wars and elsewhere,” he asserted.
Soleimani futher said "They spent around $3 trillion in war with Iraq, but the US Army could not buy immunity for even one of its flights in Iraq and moved out of Iraq ignominiously.”
