Tehran, YJC. The Shahdad-Nehbandan road is one of the most beautiful desert roads in Iran. As you leave Shahdad for Nehbandan, you first pass by Shahre Kootooleha (city of dwarfs) and then the hottest spot on earth, Gandom Beryan. A little ahead and you are in the land of yardangs with thin, tall earthen structures.
Iran’s highest sand dunes can also be seen as you go along
the way, as well as Iran’s lowest area and colorful expanses of various kinds
of sand.
