Tehran, YJC. Boroujerdi says that Iran is the leading power in regional defense.
Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy of the Majlis said "Iran’s Ministry of Defense has a special place in the regional deterrence. Iran’s power in the region and the world is so great that no superpower the like of America would dare attack the country. They struck nuclear sites in Iraq and Syria but dared not attack Iran.”
"After the revolution, since they didn’t have the F14 in their air force, the US destroyed their entire arsenal that belonged to the fighter with the intention to prevent the parts being smuggled to Iran. But our experts, relying on national abilities, rebuilt all the parts inside the country.”
He also pointed to the Iranian nuclear case being pursued by the US and said "The outcome of this international encounter between Iran and the US will be the recognition of Iran’s nuclear right and power.”
Boroujerdi added "The fact that John Kerry says the Fordo facilities must be removed is because they know that with passive defense, they do not have the power to attack the facilities.”
