Tehran, YJC. Biria says the US has never acted honestly in relation with Iran.

Saqaye Biria, Head of the Supreme Council for the Clergy in interview with Nasim Online said "America’s past interaction with us is full of unfaithfulness, treachery, and lack of respect for the nation’s rights.

"We must in all negotiations observe the red lines which the Supreme Leader has defined. We must move on the rail which the Supreme Leader has laid and act according to the privileges which those general policies define,” he said.

He added "When we say red line, it does not mean a small area, but a very large one which must be observed according to the Constitution and the authority which the Supreme Leader has in defining the country’s major policies.”

"Our past interaction with the US has been full of unfaithfulness, treachery, and lack of respect for the nation’s rights. Now also their statements show their old dirty behavior. We must not forget this and must not think that if our approach changes, their behavior in negotiations will change as well. This will be a simplicity in a complicated task,” Biria stated.

He further pointed out that the objective for heroic flexibility as told by the Supreme Leader is to gain victory over arrogance via diplomatic ways.

"Our strategy does not know reconciliation. It may be that our tactics change in diplomatic terms, but such a flexibility must bring about power and victory, not weakness and defeat,” he said.
