Tehran, YJC. Afkham has said that the US espionage on Ayatollah Khamenei’s trip to Kurdistan four years ago is to be investigated.

Snowden has lately said that the NSA spied on the Iranian Supreme Leader’s trip to Kurdistan four years ago.

The Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham says "Iran will specifically make serious investigations into the news, pursuing the issue in different aspects, especially political.”

Afkham added "We hope that international attempts and strategies have begun to cope with such approaches. We as well follow the trend. We hope that resolutions help rid the cyber space of espionage which threatens not only citizens but also all leaders.”

Asked whether Iran is invited to the Geneva II talks, she said "As far as we know so far no invitation has been sent and the grounds for holding the meeting are not firm.”

She asserted "We are ready to help resolve the Syrian crisis, a policy which is still in force. We have also said that we accept no pre-condition for these or any other related talks.”
