Tehran, YJC. President Rouhani says Iran will not cringe from threats and mistreatments.

Rouhani who was attending the Majlis session to introduce his last minister for the vote of confidence, provided comments on the latest developments in Iran-West relations and said "Great powers have accepted the Iranian initiative in general. There are three sections to the initiative, the first of which provides the introduction, the last of which relates Iran’s conditions in this period of passage, and the middle part will include a number of steps. For the time being the concern is with the first part and how to carry it out.”

"He have said to the negotiating side in words and in deeds that threats, sanctions, humiliation, and discrimination will produce no result and that Iran has not and will not bow down to any power,” the president asserted.

He added "If there is sense and logic on the table, its fine odor will please all, first of all those at the table. But if there is anything other than sense, logic, insight, and forethought on the table, the stench will address society and the one at the table. That is why Iran has sense, logic, and insight on the table. The red lines for us include the nuclear rights that come within international regulations, enrichment on Iranian land, and national interests. These red lines cannot be trespassed, because we do not approve of discrimination and the Iranian nation must enjoy lawful privileges.”

Maintaining that Iran knows sanctions to harm all, Rouhani said "It is not just the Iranian nation that is hurt by sanctions; but the ones putting the sanctions on will also get damages. We consider sanctions as illegal and as a failing approach.”
