Tehran, YJC. Senior lawmaker says the IRGC’s presence in Syria is limited to the conveyance of technology.

Speaking with Fars, Tehran representative to the Majlis Esmail Kosari provided comments on a documentary that reports the physical presence of the IRGC in Syria and said "Since 1981 we have been having close relations with Syria. Right now we give them the missile technology and they make the missiles themselves. Not only to them, we have given it to Hezbollah and Gaza as well.”

Further explaining the documentary he said "Naturally there are a small number there to convey the technology. When there are Americans or the British in various countries nobody asks why, but if we dispatch ten or twenty experts they ask why. But this is all for educational purposes. If we had desired to enter there operationally we would have driven them out in two days. But nations have to stand by themselves.”
