Tehran, YJC. The judiciary is going to enable prisoners to use video-based communication with their families.
The Deputy Chief Justice in Statistics, Information, and Technology
says prisoners are going to be provided with the facility to video chat with
their families.
Speaking to reporters while visiting the ELECOMP fair Hamid
Shahriari said "Prisoners have started to contact their families via webcam. The
Prisons, Security and Corrective Measures Organization is the executive agent
which organizes the project.”
Pointing to reports about remote testimony and arbitral
comments, Shahriari said "There have been measures in that section which are
expanding, for which the executive agent is also the prisons organization.”
