Tehran, YJC. 12 Afghans have been crushed by a truck in central Iran as they were driving a sedan the wrong direction.

Around 23:00 Friday, a Citroen Xantia was crushed under a truck, leaving 8 riders dead and 4 injured.

Ardakan Red Crescent commander Javad Kamalabadi in interview with IRNA said that the sedan passengers are entirely non-Iranian.

He added that the vehicle carrying the 12 Afghan nationals had been driving in the wrong direction on the Ardakan-Naeen road in Yazd province, colliding with the truck head-on.
