Former French foreign minister meets with deputy FM

Deputy Foreign Minister in Europe and American Affairs, in a meeting with former French foreign minister said Iran presented its honesty in Geneva talks and in the implementation of the agreement and has nothing to hide.
According to the report of Foreign Ministry website on Sunday evening, Majid Takhte-Ravanchi, in a meeting  with Herve de Charette in Tehran, by expounding on Iran s stances concerning nuclear issue, underlined commitment of both sides on implementation of Geneva agreement, peaceful nature and transparent activities of Iran s nuclear program under Non- Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and Iran s right for enrichment.

He underlined political solution in Syria and importance of not supporting radical and terrorist groups there. De Charette, for his part, called Iran a country with a long
history, civilization and culture with geo-political position and said that Iran is among few countries in the world with such a long history.

Expressing pleasure with Geneva nuclear agreement, de Charette said that Iran and France should take advantage of the new atmosphere for developing bilateral relations.
De Charette, by referring to the importance of settlement of Syrian crisis through political solution, evaluated role and position of Iran in settling the issue very important.

In the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations, regional and international issues and developments in the European Union.
