Tehran, YJC. Senior lawmaker says the Iranian governments silence against recent statements by US officials is unjustified.

Speaking in interview with Mashreq news agency, Alaeddin Boroujerdi criticized US officials’ reactions to the Iranian FM’s visit to the grave of the Lebanese militant Imad Mughniyah and President Rouhani's Khuzestan statements.

Praising FM Zarif for his visit to the Mughniyah tomb, the Head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Majlis said "It is natural for Americans and the Zionist to get annoyed and react. But I think that the Foreign Minister’s silence before such irrelevant interference is not justified. I believe that we must see them react strongly.”
