TEHRAN, YJC. The Minister of Oil has said that the presidents of Iran and Pakistan will take part in the cornerstone laying ceremony for the Peace Pipeline construction project.
Rostam Ghasempour provided comments on the final agreement between
Iran and Pakistan for the construction of the Peace Pipeline and said that as
agreed, on Monday, March 11 the project will officially be set off with
officials from Iran and Pakistan as well as neighboring countries.
Alireza Gharibi, CEO of the Iranian Gas Engineering and
Development Company, also has said that by the end of the next year, Iranian calendar;
March 2013, the pipeline will be complete and gas export to Pakistan operational.
Based on a 25 agreement, Iran has to export 7.8 billion m3
natural gas to Pakistan beginning April, 2014.
