Tehran, YJC. The President is going to attend the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia in a few weeks.
Tasnim Online reports that President Hassan Rouhani will be visiting China in about 3 weeks to attend the fourth Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
CICA’s fourth summit is going to be held in Shanghai in the second half of May this year.
It is said that meetings with the Russian President Vladimir Putin as well as the President of China Xi Jinping are among the most important items on Rouhani's agenda during his stay in Shanghai.
CICA is a forum based on the recognition that there is close link between peace, security and stability in Asia and in the rest of the world.
Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed the convening of the forum on 5 October 1992, at the 47th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
