Tehran, YJC. Health Ministry official cries against the country’s elite emigration.

Vice Chancellor of the Health Ministry Deputy in Research and Technology said "One of the country’s medical elite who I am sure will receive the Nobel Prize in ten years is emigrating to America this Friday. On the day of his departure I will be shedding tears.”

Shahin Akhond Zadeh who was speaking to Fars news agency stated "Amir Hossein Modabber Nia is one of the top students of Tehran Medical University and a Razi Festival champion. He scored the highest record in the history of the US Medical Assistant examination as a non-American student.”

"In average Rls3,000 million is invested into any specialist. Their leaving the country makes the sum irretrievable,” he asserted.

Akhond Zadeh further added "My observations tell me that 50 percent of the elite who enter Tehran Medical School leave the country for further studies; and that is catastrophic.”
