Tehran, YJC. Pakaeen says Iran and Azerbaijan’s joint committee on border has resolved all disagreements that used to exist between the two countries in terms of borders and protection.

Iran’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pakaeen who was speaking in an interview with Fars news agency said "A new chapter is opened in relations between Iran and Azerbaijan. The two countries’ leaders mean to strengthen ties.”

Stressing that Iran and Azerbaijan will continue to exchange prisoners in the future he said "As the two countries’ officials are intent to improve relations; there will be the joint committee convention in Baku after the holy month of Ramadan.”

"In the past year, there has not been a single conflict on the borders, on the contrary, the border guards have been respectful to each other,” Pakaeen asserted.

The Iranian ambassador to Baku said that Israel plays an active role trying to prevent Iran and Azerbaijan from growing intimate and added "There is no doubt that one of the principal policies with the Zionist regime is to create schism among Islamic states and to weaken Iran’s relations with regional countries.”
