Lawmaker Ali Motahari providing comments on the state of press in Islamic countries in relation to terrorist Takfiri groups said "These days the press can greatly help awareness on different subjects. As regarding this section also awareness to the origins of the groups can be helpful.”
He stressed the need for the Islamic press to withstand the imperialist barrage and said "The Islamic world press have to be ready to cope with the pressure. They have to introduce the aspects of the untainted Muhammadan Islam to the world against damages done to the visage of Islam which is attempted by Western media.”
Motahari also said "To show the anti-human face of the Western world is another mission for the Islamic press. Due to the discriminations and problems that exist there, the West has a pretty anti-Islamic face while the press attribute that to the Islamic countries. So Islamic press have to show how the Western situation is regarding discrimination and human rights problems.”
