Tehran, YJC. Larijani says Iran’s present challenges are unprecedented.

Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani speaking in a meeting in Qom on Wednesday said "One of the important eras of the Islamic revolution is the one we are living in now. There are big obstacles which are of course of some other kind than the past.”

"In the past there was war which was a long one of it nonetheless. There were also terrorist acts which took great people from us and which did much damage to the country. But there were no such sleazy challenges which have a democratic countenance veiling a very dire and rough enmity,” Larijani added.

"Iran’s scientific and technological advancement among the region are to worship. They haven’t come by easy. One of them is the nuclear program. Despite their mischief they have faced an accomplished task,” he further stated.

The Majlis Speaker said "We had some harsh time for the nuclear advancement. There has been good advancement in other sections such as biology and IT. Wherever we focused on and spent time and used the country’s potentials there we made a leap.”

He maintained "The present situations are different. The Islamic Republic has gained power. The enemy wont sit still. Enmities emerge in new forms, one of which is sanctions. Much of the economic problems is not related to the sanctions. If we had used our own potentials properly the enemy would not have been able to turn into such a demagogue.”
