Tehran, YJC. Iran’s Ambassador to the IAEA says Iran is not going to negotiate its defense industry.

Iran’s Permanent Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency Reza Najafi speaking in a conference on the 11th administration’s nuclear policy progress on Monday said "Following the policies it announced, the 11th administration has emphasized cooperation on the international level with countries, international organizations, and negotiations with great powers as an operational measure.”

Pointing to recent talks with the IAEA he said "In the first step we have managed to prove to the agency that the exploding-bridgewire detonators, which are one of the main accusations, have been used for peaceful purposes in Iran.”

"In a press conference Amano stated that Iran has presented documents and information and these detonators are used in the oil and gas industry which is something common in international industries of oil and gas,” he added.

He further pointed out that some of the demands made by the IAEA are "irrational and we cannot accept them.”

Najafi stated "The missile program is our red line. Both in talks with 5+1 and talks with the agency we have announced that we will not enter into these topics and defense industries are our red line. We will follow on the cooperation path, though, and we stress national interests.”
