Tehran, YJC. Joint Iranian-Yemeni committee is pursuing the release of Iran’s Nikbakht.

ˈThe Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs while appreciating the efforts made by the joint committee pursuing the case in Sanaˈa expects efforts leading to soon release from captivity of Mr. Nikbakht and his safe return to the embrace of his worried family members,ˈ Abdollahian told IRNA late Thursday night.

Administrative section of Iranian Embassy staffer Nour Ahmad Nikbakht was abducted on July 22, 2013 while passing through the diplomatic district of Sanaˈa by armed terrorists and transferred to an unknown destination.

During this while a joint Iranian-Yemeni political-intelligence committee has been established focusing on safe return of Nikbakht to his home, Press TV reports.

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has thus far made several efforts aimed at clarifying Nikbakhtˈs fate, including Abdollahianˈs mid-May visit of Yemen to pursue the matter.
