Tehran, YJC. A Majlis Energy Commission memeber has said that the US opposition to gas export to Pakistan holds political aspects by which the US tries to prevent Iran’s stability in the region.
Nader Fereydooni said "Gas is God’s blessing for all
humanity. Possessing this God-given energy carrier and distributing it to
others, Iran plays a key role in the region.”
Jereydooni believed that "US opposition is political and
they want to prevent Iran’s stabilization in the region.”
The Majlis Energy Commission member added "The gas pipeline
to Pakistan can bring economic benefits to both countries. Also, by transferring
the gas to other countries in the future, Pakistan can gain a lot.”
Fereydooni considered economization on electricity
consumption as one of the benefits of the presence of gas in the region and
said "The gas transfer to Pakistan has been another disappointment to the US in
the region.”
