Lavrov: Russia is not going to beg the West to take punishment

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia S. Lavrov Century, said that the Russian Federation will not beg the West to lift sanctions.
Relations between the Russian Federation and the West has been exacerbated by the crisis in the Ukraine. At the end of July, the EU and the US from point penalties with respect to certain individuals and organizations have moved to the measures against entire industries of the Russian economy, as well as among them, banking, defense, and energy.

In response, Russia restricted imports of food items from countries that have introduced in relation to penalties: USA, EU, Canada, Australia and Norway.


The US and EU do not recognize the annexation of Crimea to Russia and accuse Moscow of interfering in Ukraine. Russia denies it and calls the accusations are unacceptable.

Western countries since March has repeatedly imposed punishment on a number of Russian politicians, businessmen and organizations and threatened to make wider restrictive measures. The last case of the use of such practices began in September punishment.
