Tehran, YJC. Iran's Supreme Leader ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said that Western powers’ efforts to exhaust Iran on its nuclear program will not succeed.

Ayatollah Khamenei who was speaking at a conference on extremist and Takfiri currents in Tehran on Tuesday said "In the nuclear case, the US and European colonizers gathered around and mustered their efforts to ground Iran, but they failed and will do so in the future.”

Addressing terrorist acts carried out by extremist currents in the Middle East region he said "The current managed to derail the Islamic awakening movement, turning the public anti-US, anti-arrogance movement into fratricide and war among Muslims.”

The Iranian nation is a lover of fighting the Zionist, he asserted, adding "Our government and nation are in the same boat on that issue. We are not subject to sectarian disagreements and we gave the same help to Hamas and the Palestinian Jihad that we gave to the Shiite Lebanese Hezbollah; and we will continue to do so.”

The Supreme Leader added that Iran will try to strengthen Gaza and other Palestinian regions and reiterated his statement that the West Bank should be armed.

He said "They informed us that logistic US airplanes airdropped ammunition needed by ISIL into their camps in Iraq and they repeated the same job 5 time4s.”

"And then they launched the so-called anti-ISIL coalition which is a blatant lie. The US intends to keep the sedition alive; but it will fail to do so.”

I feel sorry that instead of giving their entire attention to Israel and what is afflicting the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Muslims have to be kept busy with what the arrogant have created, he said.
