TEHERAN, YJC. As it was denominated by the Supreme Leader as the year for national product and support for Iranian labor and fund, universities in the country took special measures to fulfill the motto.
The main focus of universities during the last year was on
the production of laboratory tools and effort to boost scientific and research
production, Mehr News Agency reports.
During this time Iranian universities set as their major
goal to support domestic product and avoid purchase of equipments from abroad.
Accordingly, the ministry of science assigned funds for the
domestic production of lab tools and set new regulations to ensure that the products
do not come from overseas.
Sadreddin Shariati, Dean of Allameh Tabatabaee University
provided comments on the growth in the production of scientific papers in line
with efforts to boost national product and said "Last year we continued our
revisions of Humanities. Also to enhance scientific activities, scientific
research centers will be improved.”
Another instance of the ministry’s support for national
product in the last year was to assign the production of scientific equipment
to doctorate students.
Mohammadali Zolfi, Dean of Buali University said "If
necessary fund is given to the universities, we will arrange contracts to
assign the production of scholarly equipments to doctorate students.”
