Tehran, YJC. The Islamic Republic Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said the issue of Palestine tops the priorities of the Muslim world.

Making the remarks on Tuesday at a meeting with Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) Ahmed Jibril in Tehran, the leader stressed that Iran will firmly stand by the Palestinian people.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran will stand firm until the day when the cause of Palestine is realized, and our youths will certainly see that day,” the leader stressed.

Ayatollah Khamenei praised efforts by the PFLP’s chief to materialize the Palestinian cause, describing him as "one of the pillars of the issue of Palestine.”

He also expressed hope that Jibril would continue resistance with the spirit he has right to the final victory.

Jibril, in turn, said the Islamic Revolution has changed Iran into an internationally robust and active country.

He noted that Iran owes its progress to Ayatollah Khamenei’s vigilance and tact.

The Palestinian leader also appreciated the Islamic Republic’s principled stance on restoring the Palestinian people’s rights.
