Tehran, YJC. Naval Forces of the IRGC have successfully targeted and destroyed a model US aircraft carrier.
As part of a series of naval drills named Payambar Azam 9 on
Wednesday, Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Naval Force destroyed a model US
aircraft carrier.
The 202 meter long body was attacked on all sides with fast
attack boats of the IRGC Naval Force and shot at with hundreds of rounds of
rockets and missiles, including cruise and ballistic.
The drills were carried out in the Persian Gulf and at the
Strait of Hormuz.
Rear Admiral Hossein Fadavi, commander of the IRGC Naval
Force said that it takes his forces 50 seconds to destroy a US watercraft.
The Iranian forces also tested a number of air-to-surface
and coast to water missiles.
Majis Speaker Ali Larijani who also visited the drills said
that world powers cannot change the region’s power balance by increasing their
maritime presence.
He said that the Islamic Republic is willing to work in
cooperation with regional states to secure the waters.
