Iran, Indonesia emphasize developing bilateral ties

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said the country welcomes expanding bilateral ties with Indonesia in political, economic, cultural and scientific domains.

"Iranian companies are ready for completing and developing Indonesian refineries as well as power and road building sectors through exporting technical and engineering services,” Rouhani said in a meeting with the visiting Indonesian coordinating minister for economic affairs Darmin Nasution.
 
He further said, "The level of bilateral ties between Iran and Indonesia should expand in economic fields given vast facilities and capabilities of the two sides.”
 
Darmin Nasution, for his part, said his country is resolute to widen bilateral ties with Iran in all spheres, specially in economic sector.
 
He added his country is set for working with Iran in energy sector and investment in Iranian oil fields as well as Iranian companies’ participation in designing and developing Indonesian oil refineries.
 
He added that Jakarta is also after increasing oil and gas import from Iran.
