Iran and Norway explored domains of mutual gas and oil cooperation.

Speaking in a conference on Iran-Norway cooperation in development and technology of gas and oil up-stream sector, Deputy Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) for Development and Engineering Affairs Gholamreza Manouchehri said Norwegian oil industry activists can work with Iran in investment and Enhanced Oil Recovery Techniques (IOR,EOR).
 
He further added project management, guaranteeing quality, consultation services and participation in renovation of oil and gas industries in up-stream, mid-stream and down-stream sectors are other fields for mutual cooperation between the two country.
 
"Iran, given its good exploratory potential, welcomes working with Norwegian oil industry activists in exploring and collecting flare gases”.
 
Manouchehri reiterated that Iran does not want to be only buyer of foreign equipment and goods, adding the NIOC is after receiving modern technology.
 
Building equipment jointly by Iran and Norway can be put in Iran’s agenda, he said, and stressed transfer of modern excavation technology to Iran.
 
The two-day conference is held to help Iran and Norway exchange experiences, knowhow
and achievements on up-stream sector.
 
30 leading Norwegian companies as well as Iranian oil industry directors and experts are attending the conference.
