Tehran, YJC. The former Minister of Health has discussed his agenda for administering the country if President at a conference Sunday.
Kamran Bagher Lankarani, the Resistance Front representative in the presidential elections, gave a speech on Sunday morning in the Conference on Political Resistance Breakthrough where, addressing electoral propaganda by other rivals he asserted "We do not promise to do magic.”

Regarding his reasons for candidacy he said that he has consulted some university instructors as well as clerics such as Ayatollah Mesbah, deciding it to be his duty to run for the presidentials.

Lankarani also provided comments on his foreign relations policy and said "Some use détente as an alibi for bowing down to the West and some other suggest adventurism. It is interesting that both have arrived at the same point and talk of negotiations with the US. Imam’s wisdom is in his application of all potentials, the same ways that the Leader also taught us. Those who suggest otherwise have not introduced the right way.”

Lankarani stated that one of his main objectives as President would be the pursuit of equality as a means to the high end of proximity to God.

As regarding women, he believed that so far those who have talked of the issue have done so in the manner of Reza Shah, while women’s role in the society is to be based on religious beliefs.
