Trump’s rhetoric spreads Islamophobia
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - In a meeting with Quran reciters in the holy shrine of Lady Masuma in Qom, on Saturday, May 20, Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani, a senior Shia cleric, made some remarks on Donald Trump’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia and slammed Saudis’ warm welcome for the US president saying, "The US president is on his Middle East tour and he’s going to visit some countries in the region; according to his own words, his main purpose is to spread Islamophobia and Quranophobia in the world.”

The top Shia cleric further addressed the Saudi regime saying that, "you claim that you are the servants of the two holy mosques, but you have ties with US, Israel and ISIS terrorists; your role in Yemen, Iraq and Syria wars are known to all.”

Stressing the importance of genuine Islamic teachings as well as Quranic lesson, Grand Ayatollah Noori concluded, "The activists in the field of Quranic sciences have a crucial role to send the message of holy Quran to the whole world.”
