PARIS(AFP) -- French Socialist lawmakers are preparing to submit a motion to parliament asking the government to recognise Palestine as a state, sources said Tuesday, weeks after British MPs passed a similar vote.
French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said Saturday there was "no certainty" at this stage that a deal on Iran's disputed nuclear programme could be reached between Tehran and world powers in Geneva.
