TEHRAN, June 15 - Millions of Iranians took part in Eid al-Fitr prayers across the country on Friday. The Eid is celebrated by Muslims across the world and is an end to the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
TEHRAN, June 25, YJC - Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was given a warm reception by the faithful on Sunday when he joined in Eid al-Fitr prayers in the west-central province of Hama, to mark the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.
For the first time in history, Islamic prayers and readings from the Quran will be heard at the Vatican on Sunday, in a move by Pope Francis to usher in peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
