Tehran, YJC. Two people died, while several others were injured in Pakistan when Taliban rebels attacked a truck convoy, supplying cargo to the NATO military force in Afghanistan.
According to the local media, the militants attacked 25 trucks and petrol tankers on the two countries’ border. Several vehicles were wiped out, while two drivers were killed.
The attackers managed to escape unharmed. In 2011, the Pakistan authorities lifted the provisional ban on delivering cargoes to the NATO servicemen in Afghanistan via Pakistan.
In response, Taliban threatened with more attacks on NATO truck columns.
