Iran’s petrochemicals exports income ups by $1.2 bln

TEHRAN, October 23 - Iran’s revenue of petrochemicals exports rose by $1.2 billion over the first six months of current Iranian calendar year (started on March 20, 2017), comparing to similar period in the year before.

Iran’s petrochemicals exports income ups by $1.2 blnTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Crude price has risen following an agreement between Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and non-OPEC members which led to an increase in the price of petrochemicals and polymer products.

Iran is going to set a new record in producing petrochemicals and boost it to 85 million tons from 56 million tons.

The country also plans to increase petrochemicals exports to 23.500 million tons and raise its exports to $11.700 billion for this year.

Iran has exported 11.176 million tons of petrochemicals and polymer products over the first 6 months of this year, increased by 900.000 tons comparing to the amount in similar period last year.

Iran’s petrochemicals and polymer products exports jumped by $1.280 billion in terms of value comparing to the figure in the same period last year.

Iran exported $5.576 billion of polymer products and petrochemicals over the first 6 months of this year.
