Iran’s new record in nuclear electricity

Tehran, YJC. Energy Ministry has said that this year Iran has produced most nuclear electricity so far.

Deputy Energy Minister said in an interview with Mehr News Agency that in the initial days of summer this year the Bushehr nuclear power plant has produced 24 thousand MW electricity.

Mohammad Behzad said "Iran’s nuclear electricity production has surpassed 47,000 MW.”

Behzad added that the country’s capacity in producing electricity has reached 70 thousand MG.

The Deputy Energy Minister stated that currently around 518 power plant units across the country are operational and constantly contribute to the national power grid.

"Besides the power plants, the conveyance grid and substations are also in fully healthy conditions,” he asserted.

He stressed the point that there should be no worries as to the constancy of the electricity across country in the summer and said "In the current week 47 thousand MW electricity was produced.”
