TEHRAN, November 22 - Iranian President says the future of Syria will be at Syrian nation’s hands.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Hassan Rouhani, before traveling to Russia, attended a press conference to explain about his goals of visit to Russia.

"Unfortunately, for more than six years our region has been involved with the instability and destructive activities of terrorists” Rouhani said.

Since the beginning of the activities of terrorist groups in the region, he added, Iran felt responsible for engaging in this issue, because the issue was a part of divisive plan developed by Western powers and Zionists for Middle East.

The Iranian President referred to Astana talks in which Iran,Russia and Turkey attended and gained some achievements.

“Today in Sochi, Russia, an important summit will be held at the level of the leaders of the three countries of Iran, Turkey and Russia” Rohani said, referring to the Sochi Summit in Russia “at this summit, a congresses will be formed and Syrian-Syrian dialogues will get start on the future of Syria”.

He remarked the victory of Syria and Iraq over Daesh terrorists and said “We hope that the decisions being made today and the ultimate statement issued by the three countries will pave the way for the good future of Syria; the future of Syria will not be at the hands of foreign forces and powers; the future of Syria will be at Syrian people’s hands”.

Rouhani asserted that Iran is not after making chaos in the region and that it is US and the Israeli regime as well as some reactionary rulers who want to make tensions in the region.

“The Iranian nation and the government want peace and stability of the region and interacting with the countries of the region and not seeking a confrontation with any country” the President remarked “Iran’s fight against terrorism in this region continues until the uproot of terrorism”.
